Blasta has all the good things. Whatever you might crave, whatever you might need, it’s all here, packed into this neat tabernacle of a store, waiting for you to make up your mind.

But Blasta isn’t just a place to shop. It’s one of those rare destinations that is a part and parcel of the local culture, a mainstay of Dungarvan’s exciting food retail, but also a player in the local culture. It’s the sort of place where they will even go so far as to make their own playlists for the store.Throughout the year Blasta is a vital resource, the place to get all the interesting and top-class Irish artisan foods that make our cooking and our lives so much richer. There are the local specialities like the superb Dungarvan honeys, both blossom honey and heather honey, from Reilly’s bee farm, and the Mezze tahini cookies from Tramore. To this enticing range Rob and Anne add choice European and international brands, with excellent olive oil sourced by Orlaith Hickey in Andalusia, and superb bio idea organic beans and sauces straight from Europe. And whilst product refills are becoming the new norm, regulars in Blasta have been refilling and recycling for 15 years now. That’s the way Blasta works: they are ahead of the pack, ahead of the curve, finding new ways and new directions that make shopping fun, exciting and engaging. A true Dungarvan star.
