HONEST TO GOODNESS MARKET: I don't venture Northside very much but the H2G market is up there with the best and worth a visit, I've been going up there to support my friend Elaine Lavery in her new business IMPROPER BUTTER - tasty flavoured butters.
WJ KAVANAGH; Food and Craft Beer night- had a great night out recently with Caroline and Aoife Cox at WJK, a five course menu with matching craft beers, outstanding.

BUNSEN BURGER: Wexford Street
The burger has come full circle, once forgotten about, revitalised by JoBurger and Gourmet Burger Kitchen, now it's back to basics. Bunsen is an interesting take on a burger joint, two options only, cheeseburger and hamburger, the rest of the menu is chips and milkshakes. The owner, Tom Gleeson, young guy from SoCoDu has travelled all over in the quest to perfect a simple tasty burger, tried a million recipes and combinations until he was happy, and Caroline B raves about it. The cheeseburger was tasty and there is quality in the ingredients especially the bun, his chips need some work.
WJ KAVANAGH: LITTLE TALKS - excellent series of "little talks" brought to us by Colin & Co. I have been to three so far, week one was wine and the talk was given by SHANE MURPHY - the plain speaking Australian who is the senior sommelier at La Rousse. Week two was coffee with COLIN HARMON from 3FE and week three was "Whiskey" with Michael from the Celtic Whiskey Store. Next is Sourdough with the ARUN BAKERY and then Brewing with METALMAN. The events are free and they really break up the week.....
