Mikey, Bernadette and the team at The Town have been totally rockin’ it during their first year in Mitchelstown. They have brought to ’town the very best beans you can get – from roasting heroes like Calendar, Golden Bean, West Cork Coffee and Stone Valley Roasters – which would be quite enough to authenticate their thoroughbred reputation. But when you take a bite of their chocolate custard cruffin, or a Boston cream cupcake, and then a sip of an Americano, you will find yourself feeling that all is right with the world after all, because these guys really know how to hit the sweet spot.  The Town just has that allure, that Cool School sang froid, that sense of humour, that undoubted good taste that leads them to create a classic Reuben using Novak’s sourdough, or a sandwich of Hanley’s free-range chicken with Kildinan leaves and mozzarella. The sourcing is top-notch, the barista skills are first division, and the vibe is simply priceless.
